From baliage to ombré to chalking, summer is the season to experiment with high-impact coloring techniques. In this how-to featured in the April issue of MODERN SALON, Sherri Jessee, who is a member of the Rusk Creative Team and owner of Sherri Jessee Salon in Bristol, Viginia, offers a look that is reminiscent of flames shooting down the fringe. With a vibe of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo meets The Hunger Games, this look is HOT!

The Vision
Placed correctly, a flash of flames can be as brilliant as an entire fiery head.

Step 1: A horizontal section along the parietal ridge was prelightened with Rusk Deepshine White Luminating Powdered Lightener
and brought to a pale yellow.

Step 2:
Base color of Rusk 4.4 Copper Deepshine Ammonia Free Demi-permanent Color was applied.

Step 3:
Pre-lightened area was toned in alternate slices of Radical Yellow and Orange Blast Rusk Scream semipermanent gel color.
