Celebrity hairstylists give us the step-by-step guide on how to achieve these 'dos.

8. Fancy Affair: Rachel McAdams
Tips from Sherri Jessee of Sherri Jessee Salon
Step 1: If you have naturally curly hair, you can omit this step. For straight hair, using a heat protecting spray for hold, set on medium sized electric rollers and remove when cool.
Step 2: Run your fingers through the curls raking hair away from the face toward the center of the back of the head.
Step 3: Beginning at the top and working your way down, as you gather the hair together, pin the hair in place. Allow the curls to gently tousle and mist with a touchable holding spray like Sherri Jessee's Shaping Spray.

As seen in Sheky's How to Wear this Winter's Bangs

Bangs can completely change the proportion of your face. Sick of the same ol’ style? Longing for a change but don’t want to lose your length? A quick way to spice up any cut is with bangs! Go to your professional stylist for a “cutting consultation” and find what type of fringe will get you the most, er, bang for your buck.
1. DRAMATIC BLUNT BANGS are perfect for longer face shapes as they help balance the proportion. As an added bonus, they also are a great way to accentuate your eyes because the solid line draws attention directly to them!

2. ASYMMETRICAL FRINGE can soften a square-shaped face. This is a second example of the transforming power of bangs! To see this change for yourself, draw a square on a piece of paper. Next, draw a diagonal line across the center of it to form two triangles…this is exactly what an asymmetrical fringe will do for a square face by cutting it in half and softening the shape.

3. TEXTURED BANGS are a great option that can spice up an edgy shape to make more it feminine. Your stylist can cut in jagged lines with lots of movement using a razor, texturizing scissors or with precise point cutting.

4. SIDE-SWEPT BANGS are the most versatile and look great on all face shapes and hair textures. Bangs swept to the side are soft, romantic and a wonderful way to add interest to longer hair.

On a side note, once you get your bangs, most stylists will trim them complimentary between haircuts, keeping them in perfect position. Just call in advance to confirm availability!

As seen in Hello Dollface: Angelina Jolie Get the Look

Angelina Jolie on the cover of Marie Claire, January 2012 issue.

If only a little makeup could make me look exactly like Angelina Jolie I’d apply it everyday just like this…of course, nothing short of an entire face transplant will help this mug of mine!
Celebrity hair and makeup artist Sherri Jessee of Sherri Jessee Salon says (about Angie’s cover look), “What I love about this look is all you see is a beautiful face, NOT a bunch of makeup.”  The makeup I like best is lightly but artfully applied. I personally hate the look of thick foundation and over the top eye makeup. Lets see how to get Angelina’s pretty look by following these steps. I especially like her lipstick color!
For a natural but still glamorous look, follow these steps using MAC Cosmetics:

Face:
1.   Prepare your canvas by smoothing on Prep + Prime Skin Brightening Serum. A few drops will create a smoother, more hydrated surface with natural anti-oxidants to help strengthen the skin.
2.   I am nuts about Mineralize Foundation as it is a luxurious creamy compact foundation that is silky to apply and provides high comfort wear. Choose the creamy shade closest to your skin tone and apply with #130 Short Duo Fibre brush for a flawless face.

Eyes:
1.   Swirl Glitter and Ice Mineralize Eye Shadow in Fresh Ice with a #227 Large Fluff Brush and cover the entire eyelid. To create a gorgeous glow, also dust a small amount under the eye, close to the lash line.
2.   Create extra brightness by sweeping Eye Shadow in Crystal Avalanche on the brow bone with a #213 Fluff Brush.
3.   Line the entire– eye staying close to the lash line with a Powerpoint Eye Pencil in Duck. This soft grey brown shade will give you the definition you need and still look natural.
4.   Apply two generous coats of False Lashes Mascara for both volume and curl.

Lips: For Angelina’s soft beige lip with silver shimmer, sweep on MAC Lipstick in Frou.

Cheeks: Look out Brad Pitt! A soft hint of beige-pink Powder Blush in Blushbabybuffed on the cheek bones with a # 168 Large Angled Contour Brush will complete the look.

As seen in Shecky's Hair Color: What's in for Winter

Our hair is our finest accessory and having great hair color is essential to a chic coif…no matter what texture your tresses are! ‘Tis the season to head straight to your professional salon to have your sun-parched summer locks refreshed with vibrant winter color. See fave shades and tips for keeping ‘em in tip-top shape from celeb hair stylist Sherri Jessee!
RED: Brilliant copper reds are a great choice to brighten your complexion. While reds are quickest to fade, they are certainly show-stoppers, as seen on stars like Ashlee Simpson, Emma Stone and Christina Hendricks. Seek a gentle sulfate-free shampoo containing organic botanicals to help prevent oxidation of color, which will allow red to last much longer. My pick? Pureology Anti-fade Complex Purevolume Shampoo ($26.99 on drugstore.com).

DARK BROWN: Dark chocolate brown, as seen on Kristen Stewart, Selena Gomez and Megan Fox, adds extra emphasis to your pretty face. The deep tones provide dramatic and beautiful high contrast to pale winter-time skin tones. A few drops of  Argan oil smoothed on damp strands will seal the cuticle and provide extra shine. My pick? RUSK Deepshine Oil Protective Oil Treatment 8 oz ($49.95 on StyleSource.com).
Hair: Sherri Jessee of Sherri Jessee Salon for RUSK
BLONDE: Blondes really do have more fun! However, they only look hot when their hair is healthy. Carrie Underwood, Katherine Heigl and Reese Witherspoon always look amazing with their combination of golden blonde with lighter blonde highlights. To be your best blonde, use an age-defying, color-protecting leave-in conditioner to provide necessary detangling and strengthening benefits. My pick? Sherri Jessee’s Elixer 11 ($15).

Daytime Tri-Cities with Amy Lynn and Miss Virginia USA Teen

Recently had the good fortune to be a guest on WJHL's Daytime Tri-Cities. This lively morning show is hosted by Amy Lynn and Morgan King. In the past, I have covered such topics as "Smokey Eyes for New Years"," Romantic Hair for Valentines", and "Summer Hair Tips." This visit was all about how to get "Glamorous Holiday Hair" and my model was the newly crowned MISS VIRGINIA TEEN USA 2012, Elizabeth Coakley.

Here, I am preparing Elizabeth's hair for the TV show. I curled it on a 1" Rusk Ceramic curling iron and secured each curl with a small clip.
Cute pic of Elizabeth and me on set before our segment with all of the tools and products displayed. I suggested Deepshine Oil Shampoo and Conditioner, STAY Thermal Ironing Protector, and an Angelo David smoothing brush.
After the curls were cool, I removed the clips. Remember... this was on live TV!
I brushed the curls with the smoothing brush  to reveal Elizabeth's gorgeous, glamorous waves.
The end result is fit for the red carpet, a pageant queen or your holiday party! I am pictured here with host Amy Lynn and Miss Virginia Teen USA, Elizabeth Coakley.

Get Carrie Underwood’s Sexy Low Chignon From The ACA’s

Posted by The Girls in the BSW Beauty Dept. on December 7th, 2011

Carrie Underwood wins big at the ACA last night and you, too can be big winner at your holiday party with this fantastic low chignon. Celebrity stylist, Sherri Jessee shares tips and tricks on how even women with shorter hair can acheive this look.
1. Distribute an egg sized amount of a bodifying mousse through out and blow dry your hair. To create volume, roll your hair on large electric rollers.
2. When they cool, take the rollers out and brush. For extra height  tease the top lightly. Smooth back loosely into a low pony and tie off with a covered elastic band.
3. Here’s the trick to make the perfect bun fast and easy: use a “bun donut.” These can be purchased at your local beauty supply for around $2! Insert your ponytail through the center of the foam donut. Lock donut in place with hair pins. Tuck sections of the the pony around the donut and secure underneath with a few more pins.
4. Allow a few soft tendrils to drop out and gently sweep your fringe to one side and spray with Rusk Deepshine Oil Firm Holding Hairspray for maximum shine and control.

As Seen in Glamazon Diaries: Katy Perry Get the Look

Katy looks amazing with her new look. Known as a trendsetter, let’s hope many follow suit and by also cropping off their hair into an edgy, choppy bob. Look how fresh and young she looks!  Celebrity hair and makeup artist Sherri Jessee shows us how to get her look effortlessly.
Eyes:
1. The first thing that stands out to me is her amazing brows! Carefully tweeze any strays but be mindfull to not pluck away too many. Note the great shape of Katy’s brow. If your’s aren’t this gorg, please take the time to fill them in with the self propeling, self sharpening Eye Brow Pencil. Choose a color close to your eyebrow color. Take a clue from Katy, you don’t have to match your hair color.
2. A concealer brush is great to  Prep + Prime Eye on the entire lid to smooth the texture and neutralize color and serve as a base for loose pigment.
3. Using a soft brush, pat Pigment in Copper Sparkle on the lid beginning at the lash line and into the crease. Also apply a small amount underneath lower lash line. This highly pigmented loose powder is easy to blend and long lasting.
4. Line the water line with Technakohl Liner in Going for Gold.
5. Plush Lash plumps, volumizes and curls lashes. Apply one coat, wait for it to dry and then apply a second coat for extra drama. Be sure to wiggle the brush back and forth to catch all the lashes.
Face: When working with loose powders and heavy pigments, it’s always a great idea to work on the eyes first, clean up any shadow fall-out and then perfect the complexion.
Mineralize Foundation is a rich and creamy compact foundation that is lightweight and easy to apply. I suggest using a soft foundation brush to acheive a flawless finish. Begin at the center of the face and gently dust outward to blend.
Cheeks: Mineralize Blush in Love Thing will allow you to build cheek color layer by layer. Put the most color in the hollows of your cheek and buff outwards for a slimming effect.
Lips: Viva Glam II Lipstick is a muted pink-biege with a satin finish. Apply with a #318 retractable lip brush to create the perfect shape.
